St Jean was a beautiful small town where it is the central point for many Pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela it also is where many of the French Caminos end! Staying at the very warm and welcoming. I have a snarly cold and a head full of goo and coughing up half a lung for the past 2 days so has not been the start I anticipated however, it is what it is!
We had a wonderful dinner at L´esprit du Chemin the Refugio I stayed on Friday night. They only can accommodate about 20 people and so was a very intimate group and we got to introduce ourselves and the purpose of our Pilgrimage with a sumptuous 4 course meal and red wine!
Sharing a room with 2 other girls, both snoring at different intervals :-)
I did feel rather disconnected and way outside my comfort zone and wandered the streets in the afternoon. Found a homemade chocolate shop - the world was a happy place again! lol
Lights out at 10.30pm sharp!
