Given i´ve had limited computer access this day now seems a distant memory!
This was however the best place for a shower with HOT water and continuous since i left the UK and was a sheer delight - wasn´t a long day but 23kmm 28300 steps and about 2100cals ;-) no hotspots and no blisters. I´m walking with 2 Swede´s (Ed and Jonas) and has been quite entertaining. nd
We came through Pamplona but didn´t stop for lunch as it was siesta, so grabbed fruit instead for the climb up to Cizur Menor - an easy day!
Accommodation was 10 per room and the snoring is always musical.....and a great Pilgrim menu across the road at the local pub. Jonas spent 10 years in Spain so is fluent in Spanish and the areas local delicacies. Trying out a variety of sausages cooked with the local made cider was a palate treat along with the cider itself. They pour into the glasses from a great height from one glass to the next without spilling more than a drop or 2 - the cider is as natural as you´ll get and before they add all the sugar etc to it. A welcome local experience.
